Refund and Returns Policy

We want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase. If for any reason you’re not happy with your order, we’re here to help with returns and refunds according to the policy outlined below.

Return Eligibility

Hardcover Books

  • Returns are accepted within 30 days of delivery
  • Books must be in new, unread condition with no damage to the dust jacket, cover, or pages
  • No writing, highlighting, underlining, or bookmarks should be present
  • Books must be free from bent pages, creases, or spine damage
  • All original packaging materials must be included
  • Proof of purchase (order confirmation email or receipt) is required

Non-Returnable Items

The following items cannot be returned:

  • Personalized or autographed copies
  • Books with any signs of reading or handling beyond initial inspection
  • Books with damaged dust jackets, covers, or pages
  • Books with writing, highlighting, or other markings
  • Books damaged by misuse, accident, water, or normal wear after delivery
  • Books returned more than 30 days after delivery
  • Books returned without original packaging or protective materials

Return Process

To initiate a return:

  1. Contact us first: Email us at ishmaelaugusto@gmail.com or call (832) 641-9918 within 30 days of delivery
  2. Provide order details: Include your order number, the reason for return, and photos if the item was damaged
  3. Receive return authorization: We’ll provide you with return instructions and a Return Authorization (RA) number
  4. Package carefully:
    • Use original packaging when possible
    • Protect the dust jacket with bubble wrap or cardboard
    • Ensure the book cannot shift during shipping
    • Use a sturdy box to prevent damage during transit
  5. Ship with tracking: Send the return via a trackable shipping method to the address we provide

Important: Returns sent without prior authorization may be refused or delayed. Hardcover books are particularly susceptible to shipping damage, so proper packaging is essential.

Return Shipping

  • Customer responsibility: You are responsible for return shipping costs unless the return is due to our error (wrong item sent, damaged during shipping, etc.)
  • Our recommendation: Use a trackable shipping service, as we cannot be responsible for lost return packages
  • International returns: Additional customs fees may apply and are the customer’s responsibility

Refund Process

Processing Time

  • Refunds are processed within 5-7 business days after we receive and inspect your returned item
  • Original payment method will be credited
  • Please allow 3-10 additional business days for the refund to appear on your statement (depending on your financial institution)

Refund Amount

  • Full refund: Original purchase price minus any shipping costs (unless return is due to our error)
  • Shipping costs: Original shipping charges are non-refundable unless we made an error
  • Return shipping: Deducted from refund unless return is due to our error

Exchanges

We currently do not offer direct exchanges. If you receive a damaged copy or need a replacement:

  1. Return the original book following the process above
  2. Place a new order for a replacement copy
  3. This ensures faster processing and quality control of your new book

Damaged or Defective Items

If your hardcover book arrives damaged or defective:

  • Contact us immediately: Within 5 days of delivery
  • Document the issue: Take photos showing any damage to the book, dust jacket, or packaging
  • Common shipping damage: Bent corners, torn dust jackets, dented covers, or loose pages
  • We’ll make it right: We’ll provide a prepaid return label and expedite a replacement or full refund
  • Quality guarantee: Every book is carefully inspected before shipping, so we stand behind the condition of our products
